News Paper depiction of Kartel in Jail
Vybz Kartel should appear to court today to answer to murder, illegal possession of firearm, conspiracy to commit murder. The police mentioned a possible news conference next week in which they will be naming other entertainers.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ealan Powell told The Gleaner : “We are doing some other things before we have it. It’s going to be taken there today (yesterday) for the case to be set for tomorrow (today).”
It was also revealed that LIME has stopped producing and airing Kartel’s reality show, Teacha’s pet citing “the serious nature of the charges” as their reason and refused to comment further, “the issue is now a legal matter which is the purview of the security forces and the courts.”
Other artists are worried about Kartel, Bounty being one of the first. Bounty tweeted after he found out about the burned body found on one of his property “Not a good look yow a doh know hya,” said Bounty.
Two of Vybz house were searched yesterday, the one in Havendale, girlfriend’s house and another one in Norbrook which is believed to be owned by him as well.
