According to recent reports, 6 policemen who were assigned to the Gun Court Remand centre have been transferred and facing corruption charges after they were allegedly caught on camera taking money from Vybz Kartel’s close relative.
Investigators followed one of the policemen to the home of the relative where he videotaped him taking money from her in exchange for visitation in a restricted area of the lock-up. The source continued that the man spent quite some time talking to Kartel while the other police officers did nothing to stop it. It is also reported that Kartel has been transferred to the Horizon Adult Remand Centre of Spanish Town Road due to the incident.
The amount reported is between 4 to 6 million. Others have claimed, the money wasn’t for visit but to get rid of evidence incriminating Vybz Kartel who is due back in court in December.
