Luka Magnotta who should be extradited by the end of the month, may be facing more charges. It has been confirmed that Los Angeles detectives have reached out to Montreal police about the possible connection between him and the death of Hervey Medellin, whose body parts were found scattered earlier this year.
Medellin was discovered in Bronson Cannyon Park on January 17th when a dog discovered his head in a bag and other body parts later on. It is believed that Magnotta was in deed in L.A at the time of the murder. It has received mixed stories, some have confirmed he was, other news outlets are refuting the claim.
On several Facebook accounts that belonged to Magnotta, dating from February suggest that he was, in some of those updates, he arranged appointments for massages giving an L.A. area code number. U.K Sun newspaper reported that a pimp claims to have hired Magnotta has a prostitute in January. Montreal Police force are awaiting DNA sample of Magnotta to continue their investigation.
Meanwhile, the head of Jin Lin has yet to be found but some believe, he mailed it to China.
