It is no secret to anyone that Drake is crazy about Aaliyah. He has sample some of her songs, tattooed her on his back and often expressed himself about how of a great artist she was and gone to soon.
Drake hinted that he was chosen by Aaliyah’s estate to produce her next album and it is rumored that he will also sample her (yet again) on his upcoming single which he will premiere in his hometown at Ovo Fest.
According to HipHopDX, Drake has been selected by Aaliyah’s estate to executive produce the late singer’s next album. It’s also reported that Drake will sample the deceased singer on his new single, and will premiere the record this weekend at Toronto’s OVO Fest.
“I have some great Aaliyah news coming soon. Just some special things. Just gave you that, just a little. Because I said, I’m with Westwood, so I can’t not. But great things, great things for music, period.”
Time will tell how him producing will turn out but Aaliyah’s brother denies it….
