If you guessed Weed then you guessed right. I remember one few of my friends always said, the best materials came to them when they were high and Toni Braxton seems to support this or at least something along those lines. In a recent interview she admitted that her hit song “You’re making me high”, was actually about “rolling a blunt” rather than what most who didn’t dig deeper in her lyrics thought, a man. Of course, not the entire song is about weed, at least not that I believe so, I think the core came from it and they played with it, as being infatuated by a man and being high is no different.

A week before (writing the song with Babyface and Bryce Wilson), I was introduced to marijuana, and I got high for the first time and so I added that in the song. In the bridge, I’m singing, ‘I want to feel your heart and soul inside of me/Let’s make a deal you roll, I lick/And we can go flying into ecstasy’ – I was talking about (rolling and smoking a joint).”

Enjoy the throwback below!
