Kanye West - 808s And Heartbreak Album Review

Kanye West' 4th album which only took 2 weeks to be recorded in Hawaii. With months of turmoil, the lost of his mother, breaking up his engagement and being all over the news with his temper against those paparazzi. He promised for us to see a different side of him and a different type of music where he mostly used the infamous "Auto-Tune". He didn't care about what anyone had to say he's looking to reach a different high. The 808's And Heartbreak. He featured with Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy surprisely no Jay-Z.

Even tho i am not a fan of the Auto-Tune even i'll have to say that this album is a total different package. Most of the beats were done with tribal drums. I might be one of the only person to tell you that I've enjoyed this album. There was a lot more feelings into this one.

In many songs he expresses different feelings like In Paranoid he talks about worrying about the wrong things like not wanting to spend your whole life alone and making that person feel good. In Streetlight he's wondering if he has time to grow that things aren't always in stone and that life is just not fair. The Track that stood out the most was Coldest Winter. Wow. I Won't even comment on it just listen to it and you'll understand.

He tried to make it sound completely different then the average Hip-Hop music of today, wanting to show how free he was and he did it while still bringing the same Kanye West perhaps even deeper then before.

Kanye West : Coldest Winter

Though I'm not too fond of the conceited attitude Kanye sometimes shows, I have always appreciated him as an artist. This album is such a testament to the creativity and versatility inside him. It seems like such an emotional album. And I love how he used the Roland TR on each track. It makes it all have a really tribal/primal kinda feel, like a heartbeat. It's cool. I'm liking it too.

^^que

The final verdict.....I've listened to most of it in the car today and enjoyed it. It put me in a mellow & relaxed mood with the drum beats & the different harmonies so I highly recommend that you get it

I liked it more than I thought I would. About two or three tracks I'm not really feeling but maybe they'll grow on me
