Brandy - Human Album Review

After a long 4 years break, a daughter, tragic car accident that left one person dead which was one of the cause of the pushed album to this year. It is finally here "Human" set to release on December 9th 2008 On Epic Record Label.

She opened up the album with an interlude of short definition for "human" :"What i feel Being a human being is, is just having freedom of being yourself not caring what other people think, just having that freedom to not being afraid because if you're not yourself then who are you?"

She proceeded With The definition of love. Seems like the entire album was concentrated of each step of first being yourself, being in love, long distance relationship etc. A Real concept on the album, with interlude to introduce the upcoming tracks, similar to what Janet Jackson did on her album. With producers like Rodney Jerkin, Cristyle this album to me was bound to be good, even turned out better then expected and exactly how i wanted Brandy's come back to be. The same brandy that we loved before just mature and lots more vocals then before. Even tho i didn't really like "Long Distance" at first it grew on me.

One of the song that stood out the most was "Fall". Where she talks about when she falls (in love) he will catch her and save her. The piano beginning with the heavy baseline definitely accentuate the powerful vocal she threw on that one. Just Perfect. I really just wished they had market her the same way they did with Beyonce's album. Not enough promotion.

Verdict? A Good to go in my book Brandy exactly proved that she isn't the "washed" out R&B singer people saw in her that she will overcome whatever is put on her path.
