Yall remember Jah Cure?.... the guy who made hit songs in prison and outside not so much? I was one of the people counting the days for his release in order to experience (what I expected would be) an onslaught of hits and "classic" Jah Cure. I've got to say I'm still waiting
Anyway I'm done ranting... I guess I'm kinda overreacting, this album wasn't that bad. You can really tell where Jah Cure was coming from when he recorded many of these songs. In tracks like "Reflections" and "My Life" Cure gives us the raw emotion that being forced to look back on oneself can cause. Also, with tracks bearing the titles "freedom" "Mr. Jailer" "sufferation" etc. we can see that Jah Cure has not forgotten his prison life and is using it as his primary tool for inspiration.
I would take a pass on this album, but would still recommend for those diehard Cure fans. Upside: the album cover is hott
songs i liked.. reflections, green grass, sticky, and my life
