It had potential
The makings of a whirlwind romance
Never thought our actions could be consequential
Thoughts of what he possess in his pants
Trapped
In constant denial
Of what may happen in light of our alliance
Sure it’s natural
He’s man I’m woman
But for every action there is a consequence
that some how cause a chain reaction
So now I’m caught inside my head
Weighing the pros and cons of following through
These thoughts weighing me down like lead
I could’ve been his sweet heart and he could’ve been my boo
But I find myself thinking of her
She’s a part of the equation too
I’m sure that caught your attention
The one thing I probably shouldn’t have mentioned
But it’s not what you’re thinking
Just trying to clear my mind
Find a way to stop this ship from sinking
No love triangle here
I’m simply trying to sort through all that’s there
