[Unsolved] Alt Car?

ok.. so i have a sony vaio.. and i have a key that says "Alt Car" and its red.. there are also keys that have alternate red symbols but i dont know how da heck to use it and its botherin me... anyone care to help?

apparently its suppose to allow you to type extra symbols that you would normally normally cant with a standard laptop keyboard. Its like an alternate to the "Alt" key, but actual function of it..as Trini said you'd have to check the manual.

ye... i know WHAT it does.. but pressin the keys and the corresponding keys dont seem to work... imma read the manual later and see if it says

was meanin to ask... but.. u know how u'd go about using em in a normal scenario... like how "alt 0164" gives "☼". stuff like that...anyway the full list of alt chars can be found @

ye.. i know how to use the alt codes (they were my best friend during ma french classes)... but tryna figure out this key is pissin me off :(

so u cant use them @ all without the alt char?...using the regular alt on the key pad?
