The Forbidden Kingdom Movie Review
Rate Thread
The path is unsafe. The place is unknown. The journey is unbelievable. The Tale of The Monkey King, unbeatable with his magical staff. One day goes to a banquet unexpected and meets with Jade Emperor. The Emperor is enchanted by the Monkey king but the Warlord wants him to bow down to him which he won't do. The Emperor tells him to give him a title but disobey challenge the Monkey king to prove he was the best. He tricks the Monkey King and traps him in Stone but right before Monkey King Realized what he was about to do throw the staff far away. Jason Tripitikas gets handed to him the task to bring the Staff back to fulfill the prophecy. He has no idea how to do it but with the help of Lu Yan,The Silent Monk and Golden Sparrow Will he be able to Free the Monkey King? The Movie was tight. I definitely enjoyed it. A part of the movie was a bit stupid at time they throw a bit of comedy in it with the Monkey king. Jet Li Delivered a good acting like usual But i have to admit that his Kung Fu wasn't as good as usual. The effects where standard. This isn't the typical Kung Fu movies that we are used to. I'll have to say that Jackie Chan did better then his standard Rush Hour. They Put so much content in the movie with different twist not just standard wicked Kung Fu like the the usual Asian movies. They added a good story line with revenge, honor love etc. The story line was fairly easy and well explained to follow. The complete movie was a good package. The Team up Of Jet Li and Chan was a nice add on. I would have picked someone else then Michael Angarano To play the life savor i didn't think he fit nor did he acted well enough. Don't get fooled by the story line that is somewhat similar to others the actors and the effects makes it up to it. There so much to say about the movie but if i do then it would be pointless to watch. Overall if you like a bit of kung fu / asian movies then you should definitely Grab that movie. I'de give it a 10 but with the standard wouldn't give it so much.

ok here are the pros and cons.
Cons: 1) It was to Kiddie (I was hoping it would be more kick ass) 2) The White boy didn't get no booty (he didn't even get a kiss...thats sad) ![]() 3) After all that training he still got his ass buss....tsk tsk tsk. (it was like they were rushing the movie off)4) It kinda reminded me of that awful Jackie Chan movie "Around The World In 80 Days" ![]() Pros: 1) The Li/Chan fight scene was nice....(thats was like the best part of the movie) 2) The villain chick would get it if I was in the movie. ( )3) Chan and Li in the same movie 4) I found it kinda humourous. 5) He fucked homeboy up at the end of it (I hated that Fassi) There you have it. DapStar's opinion.....I give it a 6 out of 10 ![]() Cah dem ah Fling Big stone and Buss up man Face___By:Simpleton R.I.P |
