Melinda keep on getting nightmare with a man wearing a mask.she also dreams about her dad warning her to be careful who she talks to and not to trust everyone. She decides to investigate to find out how her dad died. With the help of one of Jim's friend who gets possessed n writes down a number.

She ask professor Payne what it could be he realize its a case file. She goes to the archives and the worker possessed is shredding the papers so she cant never find out. She goes through the papers and realize that it could be one guy her dad previously defended called Paul Eastmen for the murder of Michael. She Believes he is the one Haunting her since he was able to escape from a fire that happened in prison was brought to intensive care and disappeared and never found. She goes to see her half brother and finds out her dad is alive and well living under and alias. Jim investigates and finds out Tom Gordon is a threat to his own life. She goes to see the mother of Micheal who got killed she realize his still there possessing people and very mad every time they talk about his death. she gets to the bottom of this and the boy confesses that he died trying to climb a tree he showed Eastman who could see ghost to his body and that's why he got convicted. Shes able to cross him over . With the help of professor Payne who tells her that the boy was able to possessed a persons body and get the owner of the body out. She rushes to her dad thinking he could try to kill himself since his possessed. She calls he doesn't pick up goes to his hotel bangs on the door a gunshot is heard. Blood is running under the door.
