Melinda pushes the door and she finds out that her dad tried to kill himself but missed his brain went through his skull but not hitting any major areas. Jim is taking care of Tom He tells him I Did This To Save Her. She goes in the basement and gets led inside the catacombs. Paul's Ghost appears to her and tells her i will show you some clues and you'll have to figure it out yourself cause if i tell you, you won't believe me. He lead her to a house and finds his body buried. She goes to see her mom to try to get some information from her but like usual her mom is mum about the whole thing. Jim investigates and finds out this was the house Melinda used to live in at 9 Years old.

Jim goes to see Tom at the hospital and tells him if he doesn't tell the truth right away he will kill him, cause it hurts him to see Melinda suffering like that. He explains that Paul came to see with vengeance threatens him and his family that Paul attacked him and he killed him as self defense, he hided the body himself cause he didn't wanted to bring his family through mud when it gets out. Melinda goes to the hospital while her dad is leaving and begs him to tell her the whole truth and to meet him later on. He doesn't show up. She Goes home. While Melinda's mom closing the shop Paul possesses a man's body and he tells her that she has to tell her the truth cause the truth has to come from her that they both know what Tom's capable off.

She goes to see Melinda and tells her the truth that Paul Eastmen and her were in love and got accused of the murder she went to see Tom to help her. He was close to getting Paul out til Paul in jail killed a man and got locked for life. She fell in love with Tom and they got married. Paul only find out from the newspaper he started the fire got burned and escape while he was in intensive care.

Jim lashes at Melinda's mom which causes to reveal that there was another missing piece when Paul was arrested she was already one month pregnant with Melinda. Melinda looses it and runs out. She meets with her father he brings her to their old house so it could jog her memory. She remembers what Paul told Tom that all the court record, he could have gotten him out but wanted to keep Him away from Beth and that Tom was the one who hired the man in jail to kill him but it backfired and tom replied that it was a win win situation. Turned around and hit him in the head with a piece of wood. Then Tom goes after Melinda tells her she is too good for her own good tries to strangle her, Melinda screams Dad Help me, Tom tells her stop calling him that way and she says i wasn't talking to you, Paul possesses Tom and makes him throw himself off the stairs and dies.

Paul appears to her and tells her that he was so angry he didn't remember being a father til when she came and he saw her trying to understand why someone she thought was her dad could have left her. He remembered about everything. She talks to her mom and expresses their feelings to one and another. She convinces her mom to go out with her and her friends. Then Professor Payne tells her how come there is 5 shadows when there are 6 of us. Is Payne Dead?

Really loved Ghost Whisperer DVD and watched from the beginning. I have recently moved and began law school and have not kept on top of episodes. I just watched last week's episode to find Jim gone and the Jim actor playing a Sam character. The Jim/Melinda relationship was a great part of Ghost Whisperer, not many tv shows base around a solid marriage. Also found a new professor, who is not nearly as good. I realize the old actor has his own show now, but the new professor character is just lacking. Will not be watching the show anymore without Jim
