Terrance dean has been the talk since he openly admitting that he was gay and about to shake the whole hip-hop community when he divulge who is gay by using clear descriptions and leaves it to us to figure it out of course without giving names. In this auto biography he shed light on his own life, what might have turn him gay, and the struggle of not wanting to be gay.
He first opens up by talking about his mom getting raped which caused her to become a prostitute, catching aids and bearing an aids child as well. His brother getting molested who also catches aids from the person who attacked him. Having to be sent by family the drama begins. The life of a down-lo man now not ashamed of what he is.
Reading this book was a pain. I first gotten it was to figure out who's gay who wasn't, mainly for the gossip. I thought he was another type of Karrine Steffans. But was greatly disappointed. Got tired half way when i realize how many gay men there was in our so called beautiful community.
No matter how much he tried to make me accept the gay community that it was hard for them to live hiding their love life, I couldn't sympathised with him. I now see the entertainment business in a whole other light and its a shame. I wish i never read it and i wouldn't advise anyone to read this is really just a story of a male whore. The only good thing that came from him is i found out that he did write different other books to empower women and men and he did deliver a perfect portrayal of what the industry is really about. A Sad Reality.
For those who cares i put up quite a bit of the descriptions with names of who we thought it was :
Guess Who's on the down low Gay in the entertainment industry
