From first love to Mike Tyson Pam Pinnock holds nothing back as she recalls the pattern of abuse and battery that started at her father's hand. Even though she went on to become a succesful journalist and sought-after publicist who has represented mogul producers like Jay Z, singer artist John Legend, publicist for Ludacris, NFL player Mike Vick, Jagged Edge. Pam bears the visible and invisible wounds delivered by the men she loved and trusted. For the first time, she tells about her terrrifying rocky relationship with heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. She reveals the shame and self doubt that kept her locked into a destructive relationship with her first love until finally her life came crashing down on her; and she was ble to start rebuilding.

The Father Fracture by Pam Pinnock.

Now, I am not a big fan of Mike Tyson, so anyone who is, is of little interest to me. I only ordered the book because I heard the author on the radio one morning talking about how Mike Tyson used to keep his ex wife Robin Givens dirty underwear in a ziploc bag. I must admit this was interesting, so I went on line to get the book, and besides I'm a fan of Robin Givens . The author was also referred to as being a Karrine Steffans want to be. After reading the book I didnt get that impression at all. But once I read the book and learned how this girl had been through hell. I finished the book in two days.

I recommend this book for men and women. There's a man or woman you can relate to on every page. The book takes you on a journey from abuse to the glam and glitz of the red carpets of hollywood. I also got a great deal of insight on what publicist do. Since the author is a well known publicist there were pictures of her and Ludacris, Star Jones, Magic Johnson. Mostly, I learned that not having a father in your life can really mess you up. The author went through a lot with and without her father. I gave my copy to a high school student at the time, I was mentoring. I really felt this book would help her with peer pressure. Statistic show that 40% of teenage girls experience abuse while dating. With that being said, I recommend this book for teenage boys and girls. Great book to read. Easy read. It will make you think twice about dating a man who is known to be abusive.
