Discussion Details Leaked On Will Smith's Karate Kid Movie

*Moviehole.com says it has uncovered new plot details about the Will Smith-produced update of "The Karate Kid" from a source involved in the production.

The Daniel Larusso character, played by Will's son Jaden Smith, has been renamed Dre and is a skateboarding video game addict. With the fear of layoffs looming over her U.S. job, Dre’s single mother, Sherry, accepts an offer to transfer to the China office.

Unable to speak Chinese, Dre finds it hard to settle in and becomes the victim of a local bully.

The Mr. Myiagi character, renamed Mr. Han and played by Jackie Chan, spots a black-eyed Dre practicing martial-arts kicks as part of a Wii-style video game and agrees to teach him both martial arts and Chinese.

The John Kreese character has been renamed Li Quan Ha, and owns the menacing Fighting Dragon School of Kung-Fu.

Well at least they aren't tryn to make it jus the same, but still it is so hard when I think of how great the first two movies were.

Seem like he just tryin to give his son's career a boost. . . thats cool though

I believe he & Jada have directed tv shows....I'm not sure bout movies?
