The Girl Next Door Movie Review
Rate Thread
Meg and Susan lost their mom and dad. Their Aunt Ruth has to take care of them. She has 3 young boys. She feels threaten because she wants to raise typical boys, pure and believe the girls will corrupt the boys into thinking about what normal boys should think about. Meg feels that she has to protect her little sister by letting them mistreat her. They beat her, scared her before, til one day they tie her up in the basement and lets her sons and other kids in the surrounding come see what they do to her. The boy next door notices that and is uneasy with the "game" Ruth has created with Meg. He feels powerless, even tho he tried calling the cops, told his mom but nothing. Him as a grown man tells us about this story. How much it scarred him and how he thinks what he could have done to save her.
The movie was just awful. I wish i never watched it. It's a cruel reality put into a movie. They were so graphic i felt Meg's pain and if i could i would have went through the screen. Story line was nicely put together, acting was impeccable. If you have a sensitive heart do not watch. It was hard to watch but i had to see what was going to happen. We live in a Cruel world. It said it was based from a novel by Jack Ketchum which is also base on a true story. *shivers>
