This dvd is basically somewhat a mini biography of Barack Obama. What he had to go through before reaching where he is now. How he had no better treatment then most black people. His journey before he became senator.

This dvd is basically retracing his early path before he was even known all around the country. Where it all began, Chicago as a community organiser. They show few never before seen interviews back in 1993, also some excerpt from his book.

Like most black people he had to face, him being too young. He spoke about his father as well, which was taken from his audio book, his father left when he was 2 years old to study to Harvard and when Barack was 21 years old, he died in a car accident in Kenya, and the narrator mention that the "Black" part of Obama's upbringing was never really there. They bring you into a deeper side of his life, his trip to Kenya, his half sister, his father's grave. I came to realize that Obama went through similar things that most of us here went through, being raised without a dad, how he had multiple wives, didn't cater to his kids etc.

I also find out that "Barack the vote" has first started in Chicago as "protect your vote" even making songs to make "voting" a cool thing for young people to vote.

It's no secret to anyone that I'm not a fan nor do i hate Obama because i never seen the big deal about it but now i do see why so many people love him and why he is fighting so hard for some of these rights, because he suffered a lot of repercussion because of these rights that were not instated. And for all those people talking about how he's a sell out or just working for the white America probably needs to view this dvd. It will open their eyes. What really strike was when he said : "There is no Black America, Latino America, White America there is only United States of America". Marinate on this.
