Nate and Monica survive being shot by Freddy who he had hired to trap Lewis, send him to jail, take his daughter away and make a life with the woman he loved, Monica, his ex wife. But the tables have turned. Freddy is the one calling the shots, he yearns for revenge since he lost it all, his mother’s house, the woman he loved and his unborn child. He kidnaps his adoptive son but once he realizes, Nate did survive, he will use the boy to his advantage. Meanwhile, Lewis gets out of jail and he will have to fight to get his daughter back or even maybe form an alliance with the one who nearly cost him his life and maybe find love in a different place.

I really loved the first two books, they kept me on my toes and had no idea what to expect but this one did not do it for me. Not only did it feel like he was dragging the story line, there was absolutely nothing left, he brought this one too far. You still love the characters (or hate) but if you read the first two ones, then you don’t even have to read this one, nothing is new. Still pathetic characters, still the same one finding love. The end had a twist but it was not shocking, seems like the author wants to dragged it to a 4th one or perhaps start a whole new series with it. I’m not saying It’s a bad book to read but it felt redundant. Unless It’s on sale, I wouldn’t recommend anyone getting it unless you didn’t read the first two then perhaps you might enjoy this one.
