Spy Kids : All the Time in the World My Thoughts

Marissa Wilson decides to retire after having her baby, wanting to give her full attention to her new baby and her step kids. Rebecca, Marissa’s step daughter, is having a hard time adjusting to her step mom until Marissa gives her a necklace that belonged to her mother, calling it a special piece but she has to get it back, to save the world. She obviously doesn’t tell Rebecca why, because she didn’t tell anyone she was a spy. But they will all find out once trouble comes knocking at their door after prankster Rebecca, keeps the necklace, playing a trick at her step mom. Their bond as a family will be tested in the quest to save the world once again.

I had no expectation after viewing the trailer and still wanted to watch it despite most who had seen it, giving it bad review. I thought the movie was fine, I never thought the Spy Kids saga had anything really interesting or amazing about and this one fell exactly where the other ones were, just normal. I did not see the ’4D’ version, therefore can’t comment on whether the ’4D’ added an extra to the movie. The script was as mediocre as the other ones, a bit stretched in time and the special effects were as bad if not worst than the previous ones. But that is not the point of the movie, I thought the silliness of the characters, the funny stunts, the adorable robot dog, the love they shared as family and last but not least, the message in the movie definitely made the difference of why I won’t give it a horrible score. It is definitely a fair movie to grab for those family nights, after all it is supposed to be a family oriented movie. It was also fun to see the old Spy Kids all grown up now.
