There once was a time when you could count on an individual in the entertainment industry to only have one, perhaps two monikers at best. But Schatar "Hottie" Taylor of 'Flava of Love' and "Charm School" fame is out to change all of that.
Her new tag is Money Banks and she hopes to ride it all the way to ... the bank. Our Lee Bailey happened upon Taylor at a recent event. Of course we wanted to know how she felt about the goings on of "Charm School."
"It had the highest ranked premiere on the VH1 network and I had a complete blast doing the show," said Taylor in classic Hollywood fashion. So we asked the bright smiling Schatar to elaborate some.
"I can say that I understand the ratings system and when ever I do a show I make sure that the ratings are high and successful and I brought that same line of thinking to this show."
So does that mean all of her histrionics were an act?
"I always mean what I say, but I understand this is the industry of entertainment," she coyly responded.
Speaking of entertainment, the artist formerly known as Hottie is doing some singing. And some say she isn't half bad.
"I am currently in the studio and I'm working with one of the former members of Earth, Wind and Fire," said Money Banks of her new found career. "I have a single out now and it's called 'It's Money Banks," and it broke the Top 40 on its debut. The member of Earth, Wind and Fire is Michael Beal, and it's produced by Man Man the Beatmaker."
Money Banks, ur ... we mean, Schatar Taylor's newest single is called "My Money, My Man, My Mansion." It's an obvious spin on her dismissal from "Flavor of Love." You can find out more at
