After achieving multi-platinum status with his sophomore album, Konvicted, Akon is slated to re-release the set as a CD/DVD combo this month.

The CD portion will contain three new songs including "Sorry, Blame It On Me," and a revamped version of "Rush," featuring Akon's new signee, rapper Kardinal Offishall, who will also appear in the forthcoming flick Rush Hour 3.

The DVD portion will include footage of Akon visiting his home of Senegal and videos from the album, including "Smack That," "I Wanna love you" and "Don't Matter."

The CD/DVD re-issue of Konvicted will hit shelves on August 28th.
