Word to Mya - you … are NOT … that hot. Or that slick or that famous that you can do the ish you did last night here in Barbados. So here’s what went down. Mya was scheduled to host at a pretty major event in Barbados last night - the Celebrity Party @ Club NXS in St. Lawrence Gap. A few hundred people showed up, eager to give Mya some love. Now mind you, this is during the height of Crop-Over (carnival) season, with TONS of other events competing for attention that same night. Mya was not the only show in town by a long shot.
But Miss Mya (who btw is an islandista by descent - I’m thisclose to revoking her credentials) was a no-show.

It was not that she was not in the island. She was very much in the island, lounging at the Hilton Hotel, which was allegedly paid for by the Tourism Authority. But word filtered back that she ‘did not feel’ like coming out to the club, but just felt like ‘chilling in her room’. Excuse you? So … you feel that this was just an all-expenses paid trip to Barbados just for the heck of it? Cos we like you that kinda way?
Um, no dahlin. You were paid to appear. And you damn lucky you were paid to appear at anything.

Because you have not had a major hit since I was in secondary school … and I ent no young yam. According to Wikipedia (and every other black blog) you have not had a hit since 2003! Moreover, you have been ‘working on your album’ for the last 4 years. And you have allegedly been dropped from your label.
Yet you feel you are big enough to buff Bajans? But who is you? Chick … we have RIHANNA - who by the way, has a hit on the charts RIGHT NOW - two actually!

Tiger Woods got married here. Oprah Winfrey allegedly has a house here. The Prince of England pops in every now and then for a vacay. Hugh Grant, Whitney Houston, Jigga and Beyonce, Paul Allen have all visited. I could list many more but you get the point.
You are not the first, second or 5006th most famous person to ever land on this rock. So who do you really feel you are?
What you did was not at all a good look for someone who has next to no career and is reduced to posing for every men’s magazine that will give you a bligh just to stay semi-relevant.

It was insulting to the event promoters, to the club owners and to the people that actually eschewed other events to come out and see you. Though to be frank, you were not that missed anyhow. People still partied hard - Strategy the Band was great and upcoming American RnB artiste Casely (he was on the BET Awards after-party show for reference) was a pocket rocket! I can see So Emotional becoming a club banger.

But Mya? Tsk tsk…

Well i live in Bim an honestly the ppl here or not bad but that is like False promotion for them sayin that u bring in this artiste an the nite of the show they aint there, the promotors can get sued as anywhere else..... the rambling bout every other celeb that was here was to much. And bringin up Robyn was not necessary cuz honestly "she" acts way to prissy now an even if u support her she aint takin u on so bringin her up was out. But to come clear on the "bajans" they to damn malicious an dangerous they always in ur business an dont know what ur business is about " jumpin to conclusions"
