rapper lil wayne celebrated his 26th birthday at miami’s mansion nightclub on tuesday night. It was the typical understated affair with ice sculptures full of $100s and a suitcase full of $1 million. Did i mention the suitcase was a gift? Becase the suitcase was a gift. Lil wayne’s friend birdman gave the rapper $1 million dollars for his birthday. For my 26th birthday, i got a sweater and a night out on the town* with my grandma. Advantage: Lil wayne.

Because ... a gift over $12,000 to anyone other than your spouse is taxable ... BUT, if the gift is the first gift for the year and it exceeds $1,000,000 of the minimum ($1,012,000) the gift tax is exempt for that particular gift.

Its onle of those tax loopholes that lawyers know about to keep the rich rich, and their pockets fat.

i am pretty sure there is an extra $12,000 somewhere in that 'gift'

Probably right....i didn't even think of all those things not even sure why anyone even cared....

Gifts given as 'donations' are tax deductible ... so you get most of your 'gift' back during taxx season
