As for the Bet award 2009 they are saying the reason why he didn't perform was because jay-z threaten not to show up along side beyonce if chris brown even showed face.

I refuse to believe that, It doesn't sound like Jay-z even tho i don't personally know him, if it is true he's taking his "big brother" business too far. They are going as far as saying that the Jackson Family wanted chris brown to perform. Is Rihanna really worth all that chaos? meanwhile

Chris brown releases Statement :

“Michael Jackson is the reason why I do music and why I am an entertainer. I am devastated by this great loss, and I will continue to be humbled and inspired by his legacy. My prayers are with his family. Michael will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. He’s the greatest… the best ever. No one will ever be better.”

They are also saying that Cover Girl had a part in chris brown not being at the bet award keeping in mind they sponsor a lot on bet and Queen latifah was there who's also a spokesperson for Cover girl..
