As for the Bet award 2009 they are saying the reason why he didn't perform was because jay-z threaten not to show up along side beyonce if chris brown even showed face.

I expected to see Chris Brown there too. At the end of the day if it was because of the rihanna thing he should have come to think that Michael's death is more important then a ridiculous love scandal.

I would'nt have thought anything would have kept Chris away if someone told him to back off he should have responed "f*** off". No offence to Jamie Foxx he tried, and his performance was nice but Chris would have made his tribute a little more unique.
