Lil Wayne's album "rebirth" was originally set for December 21st but decided to push it to Feb 1st so he can concentrate more on his Young Money compilation but amazon seem to have another idea in mind and 'accidently' released the album to 500 fans who pre-ordered it.
According to sources and e-mail to Billboard from an amazon customer, the album arrived in mailboxes on Monday, December 14th. About one million units had already been manufactures and about 1/3 shipped to accounts by then the source said.
No one on amazon's camp has yet to comment at the press time. The album was set for May 19th, then August 18th to December 15th to December 21st but at the last minute he delayed it again not only because of YOung Money's compilation but also to get his new single "On Fire" to grow on fans a little bit more.
Other sources claims the album got pushed back because Wayne wanted to work some more on it, to change some tracks. If that's the case, the ones who received the album will have a collectors items.
In other news, aside from making babies, Wayne is set to go to
jail soon and has made several appearances with his Young Money to promote their compilation :
