Karl Lagerfeld may have to fork over an apology to Adele. The eccentric Chanel designer dubbed the soulful 23 year-old singer to be “a little too fat,” according to an interview he gave to Paris Metro, per Usmagazine.com. Lagerfeld, who famously went from chunky to slim after losing 90 pounds back in 2004, softened the insult by adding that the British singer had “a beautiful face and a divine voice.” Then again, Lagerfeld has been notoriously insensitive when it comes to women with a little meat in their bones. In 2009, he said that no one wanted to look at plus-sized models on the runway. "Fat mummies sit there in front of the television with their chip packets and say skinny models are ugly," Lagerfeld said in an interview with Focus magazine. Adele has had to answer her fair share of questions about her weight, much to her chagrin. The Grammy award-winning singer said it was never a factor in her life, until she got famous. "It's just never been an issue -- at least,” I've never hung out with the sort of horrible people who make it an issue," she told British Vogue.
