Busy Signal Locked Down in USA

Busy Signal was extradited yesterday to face trial for his cocaine-traficking over a decade ago in United States.

The observer reports that he left Jamaica before noon with the United States Marshall. One of Busy’s baby mother told Jamaica Observer : “We miss him and we are praying. I know that everything will be okay.”

Read more details on the case below

Gordon is being extradited on a provisional warrant for failure to appear for trial in the United States. Knight told the Observer that his client could not be tried in the United States on the drug charges because the warrant for his arrest relates to his failure to show for trial and not the drug charges that caused him to flee that country.
However, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions said that the US could still try Gordon for the alleged drug offence, but that it would have to seek leave from the Jamaican Government in order to proceed.
I don’t understand why can’t artists follow the law so It doesn’t come back to ruin their lives later.

It happened before he was an artist (or a big enough artist to eat) and he hasn't been in trouble since...This is the life they come out of...The songs they sing aren't made up or fantasy stories...That was their path their struggle etc...It's not a guarantee that they're going to be a break out artist nor is their next meal or line of income any easier to come by (If you can see the ones that were able to choose aren't actually in any trouble...the one's that weren't simply weren't)...Following the law is subjective...We can all judge their actions but before we do that we should know their environment...following the law...that's a whole other topic all together...This is not a excuse it's just that I refuse to make a judgement because it's a string of "fortunate" events that didn't see me take their road...Having their mindset and seeing no other way out does a terrible thing to even the most intelligent human beings decision making abilities...The thought process is not the same...Tomorrow isn't something you plan for...There are a lot deeper issues but eh lol...

@silence I understand what you mean, I should have been more precise, my comment was mostly for people like Kartel, who made it but yet still continued that path. Do you see what I mean?

@Mz K completely agree on that one...They only serve to make things look worse than they are...The bigger problem is they're a minority but they are some of the "biggest" minorities so they completely overshadow the overwhelming positive to the industry...why they can't behave...I guess they just loved being who they were...and that's a shame...some people become adults way too late...Some of them play out their shortcomings for the public
