Swizz Beatz Speaks on Megaupload's Shut Down
Months ago, the government ordered Megaupload to shut down due to piracy, which listed Swizz Beatz as CEO, in the same process caused similar website to be more strick towards what is been uploaded and shared. Earlier this week, the government revealed that they were going to look in to Swizz Beatz and his role in the company as the are trying to bring MegaUpload to court. They believe the website generated over 180 million in copyrighted works which costed the entertainment industry $500 million.
Swizz Beatz finally decided to speak on that matter in an interview with Allindstrom.com
ďIím a fan of music. Iím a fan of people that work hard. I would never be a part of anything thatís taking from an artist when I fight so hard to give so much to the artists. I was giving the artists 90% of they s**t. Sometimes when something is so powerful and people canít control it that type of attack happens. You see that happen with multiple things in life. Things that are so powerful, they get shut down inexplicably. Iím in the business of inspiring people. And I canít be in the business of inspiring people if Iím so-called robbing my friends. And my friends know that, thatís why ainít nobody speak out and say any clown s**t about me. They know my character and they know what it is.Ē
The founder of Megaupload, Kim Dot Com accuses Joe Biden of ordering the shut down. In similar news, he won his first victory as a New Zealand judge ruled that FBI warrants to search his mansion were illegal.
ďI do know from a credible source that it was Joe Biden, the best friend of former Senator and Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) boss Chris Dodd, who ordered his former lawyer and now State Attorney Neil MacBride to take Mega down,Ē Kim DotCom told TorrentFreak.com in a separate interview.
Piracy can be seen in two different lights, piracy can be beneficial, music is much more alive then when you had to buy, like Jadakiss said, “you can now download to see where these niggaz got their style from”. Some of the material can’t even be found in stores. Just today me and co-workers were discussing about how before we had to buy a whole albums just because we enjoyed one song. Piracy helps some of us chose which material we will buy while on the other hand, some simply download and never buys but still, with advertisement on all these file sharing website, they are still not completely losing.
