Red wine with high amount good for the obese mice
To drink is red wine with high amount good for health? Yes, according to an American study relating to obese mice to which one administrated strong amounts of resvératrol, a red wine extract. Far from reducing their life expectancy, the experiment made it possible the rodents to live longer than envisaged and, in addition, in good health.
For certain experts, this study marks a turning in research on ageing. Those already ready to soak with red wine to the fine therapeutic ones, they answer however that the effectiveness of the method still remains to be proven on the human ones.
The study was carried out by Harvard Medical School and the National Institute of Aging and is published Thursday on Internet site of the Nature magazine. Carried out on obese mice according to a fatty diet, it shows that absorption with high amounts of resvératrol decreases the appearance of the diabetes, diseases of the liver or other pathologies related to the consumption of greases.
The resvératrol is an antibiotic substance produced by many plants. One finds it in particular in the vine like with high amounts in peanuts.
The deaths related to diseases due to a fatty diet decreased by 31 % in the mice taking part in the study. The rodents concerned also lived longer than they would not have had, and appeared in as good health as normal mice.
The researchers now will try the experiment on the monkeys, the mammals closest to the man. But, according to Dr. Richard Hodes, of the Institute National one Aging, the absorption of resvératrol pure is completely disadvised at the human ones, the recommendations of safety not having been established yet.
Dr. David Sinclair, of Harvard School of Medicine, underlines as for him that the mice having taken part in the experiment received amounts of resvératrol equivalent to the consumption of 100 red wine bottles per day at the man. What to discourage even the amateurs.
Get drunk guys! u'll loose weight
