Is it just me???

Okay i recently had a conversation with my bf and some interesting things came out.He says that as his girl what he needs from me is to cook for him, clean for him and make sure he's taken care of(u know). Now as yall know this pissed me off cuz it sounds so sexist and I cant be with a sexist, chauvenistic man.Now i do know that as a wife cooking and cleaning is a responsibility but where is the line between is being just that or it being "your place".And what made it worst was when i asked him what he was supposed to do he told me it was to bring home the bacon and throw out the trashNow Dhaz fam, please clarify for ur sista,is it just me or is this dude straight out of the 40s and 50s.

BTW....DID U CALL YOUR MAN A BITCH.....OHHH LAWD....IS IT ME OR DOES ANYONE SEE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS WHOLE PICTURE BUT ME...
Sorry i forgot the 'older' generation doesnt have a sense of humour... okay let me clear this up, or try!!! i could do all of these things be it cooking or cleaning every day if i have to but why do it for a partner that gives you nothing in return? that goes both ways. I believe relationships should be equal so if my bf does nothing but expects everything in return i will be annoyed as i think it shows a lack of respect. There is nothing wrong with my mentality. Your statement 'the quality of chicks' taking a nose dive is generalised and untrue. The history of domesticity is intertwined with the history of women. Women have often been put into the domestic sphere without voicing their opinion on the matter. (maybe this is where all of the problems in relationship arise)Now women have an opportunity to choose for themselves whether they want to be involved in domesticity or not. Some women have chosen to remain in domestic arena. Other women have criticized those who remain in domesticity as being weak and called domesticity a form of imprisonment, thereby rejecting it. Whatever choice a woman makes, it is clearly important that she recognize her options. So i dont think CHICKS are taking a nose dive i think they are simply realising they have potential and talent outside of the kitchen and are choosing to exercise that right. i retract anything i said which offended the old man lol only kidding. but really dont patronise and say you feel sorry for the younger generation you have no need to, i for one am extremely open minded and wasnt really taking this seriously earlier - sometimes i get carried away and pretend im on Jerry Springer.

Hey...I never knew that certain women didn't think they had potential and talent outside the kitchen?! So ...(writes a whole bunch of stuff down, erases it and starts all over again). Let's start with a couple of generalizations:
The average man is stronger physically than the average woman. The average woman lives longer than the average man. The average man has a chest and a penis, while the average woman has breasts and a vagina. Done.

The human bodies (male and female) are built for different purposes. Likewise, the male and female hormones act differently and in turn the male and female psyche. I'm still generalizing here. When a woman is pregnant for instance, she cries when she is happy and sometimes when she is sad. This (crying, not pregnancy) rarely happens in a man's life. I'm not even going to talk further on pregnancy.

Therefore, a typical scenario is: who is responsible for feeding a child from birth to at least 1 year old? If a woman is saddled with this responsibility for a year (generalizing...), does this mean that she has no potential or talent outside breast feeding? Maybe you've never experienced it, but you cannot imagine the pain a woman feels when she realizes that she cannot lactate, let alone have children. The way I see it, being a woman is a privilege, because you chicks get to experience a whole lot of wonderful stuff, while we men spend a lifetime chasing a livelihood. And any woman who wishes to trade her womanhood all in the bid to declare herself equal to man is only belittling herself. All this talk about cooking and cleaning! We're meant to help each other out in a relationship, true, but in different ways, sista. I don't expect wifey to go changing light bulbs in the house or fixing burst pipes. And I do not knock the chicks that do so. Same way, I believe wifey (in whatever capacity) should cook and clean, but I don't knock the man who does so in his house. And this is regardless of whether she's a CEO or prime minister of a nation.

Do try and find the humor in this statement.
