Do You Let Your Man / Woman Rub Your Head?
After reading another blog who openly spoken about why she never used to let anyone near a head and Chris Rock's cracking jokes on Oprah about women never wanting to let man touch their hair. It makes me wonder if perhaps i might be one of them even tho i don't have tracks in my head and most of my life had my "real" hair obviously relaxed. It was never an issue, I didn't really care for my head to be rubbed. I actually had the problem with a guy who never wanted to get his hair rubbed fear of messing him his braids and I am the kind who loves to rub a nicely done head (probably why i grow to hate braids).
I have to admit that my mom always did tell me to always take care of my hair because people will judge and obviously more hair means (to them) that you are higher then others, I never did understand til i saw the big fuss about it. But my mom never made me feel lower because i don't have that big curly that my cousins have and never was it an issue with my family but was in elementary school obviously full of white ignorant kids and adults. They did make me feel worthless as the dirt you sweep out of your house. This year seems to be the black hair year. women : Do you let your man rub your head? If yes how did it feel? If not, explain why not? Men : do you rub your woman's hair, does she let you, is it important to you? Parting Ways Is All We Know Of Heaven And All We Need Of Hell |
