Prostitution Among 12 Years Old : Conspiracy Against Blacks?

Where I'm living, juvenile prostitution isn't so common, so you can basically say that i'm somewhat clueless and easily surprised on certain things just amazes me. IN a recent article in essence magazine, they were addressing the issue of little 12-13 years old girl turning their trust into the wrong people and how it happens.

Nikki a 21 years old girl spoke about what happened to her. at 12 years old a man showing the exact "special" attention, she came from a fairly normal home, even tho her dad left a little while ago. The first pimp brought her to the house, got her to smoke weed and everything began from there. Her mother was worried sick at first thinking she just slept by a friend and waited too long to call the cops and them screaming at her for waiting so long. Meanwhile her pimp kept playing her, telling her that he treated her good and she had to do the same and it started, selling her services, whether it was touching or worst. She even spoke about the terrible thing she's seen at night on the street, the strip club, gang-raped by 6 men, girls stumbling after a bad date, bleeding from her backside.

Her mom only found her whens he got arrested her and they called her. She begged them to put her in counseling but obviously didn't and whens he got released, found another pimp she called "daddy", who would beat her at times. She shared what her pimp would do to girls when they tried to leave or even refuse certain things : whipping them with an electric rod, kick her to the stomach, to teach her to be tough so she doesn't flinch, and even one time stuck a hot curling iron the girl.

Some facts that i would love to understand WHY, 90% of sexually exploited girls at one Atlanta Agency were black. Why? Lack of father, looking for love in the wrong places? Could all this be a part of the whole conspiracy against black people? No job, No Money, Prostitution, break them etc?

And the most important out of it all...How do you save your daughters, nieces, sisters to these situation?

Teach them self-worth from day one. A lot of these girls are looking for someone to love and validate them (lack of self-esteem). But if they're taught from the beginning to love and respect themselves first, and THEN find someone who loves and respects them just as much, it'll keep a lot of young girls out of harms' way.
