I was reading Jessica White's interview and what she said about her dream guy caught my eyes. (she's a model for those who don't know) Which brought me to my attention on why some of us pick the wrong guy for a relationship could it be because of the LACK of what a real man is?

Rihanna said she picked the wrong guy, her father wasn't really there and a drug addict?

Halle Berry picked few frogs before she got her prince charming and her father wasn't around.

Chris Brown had no dad and his step dad showed him the wrong rope

Do you believe that we are looking into men what our father was? could be not on purpose or what but anyways

Who is your dream guy?
My dad was a dream guy. Maybe I’m biased because he was my dad, but I had a great example of what a man is supposed to be and what a man is supposed to do. My dad was the epitome of a real man. He took care of his wife and he took care of his daughter and he was a provider whether he was severely sick or not. He got up and worked and provided for his family and he had a fear of God, and he was a man who loved God. My father was so knowledgeable. I would come home from school and my father would be playing Martin Luther King’s albums. He was so smart and so wise. He had this big study with all these books from philosophers and inspirational speakers. My father was a preacher and he was knowledgeable of all things. He didn’t have a high school diploma but my father home schooled himself. He could stand in front of Barack Obama and teach him a few things. He was so intelligent, and his name is Preston White, and he’s my ideal man.

i do believe that our parents whether present or absent have a lot of influence on who we choose as partners...whether that choice is conscious or unconscious positive or negative...i believe that it plays a greater role unconsciously since we learn more from what our parents do, how they live rather than what they say...i believe we internalize that knowledge and it later manifests itself in our choices...i know for sure that my realtionship with my dad and growing up watching his relationship with my mom has greatly influenced my choice in men...and my definition of manhood...

soemone i can talk to...unconditionally...easy to find good lookin people...we see them every day lol...so that's not much of a dream but someone you can talk to...and trust me communication is what i should have said not talk...communicate in every sense of the word...sign language included...even silence......thats the dream....


the part about parents...i dont look at it much as parents as more of who we take our examples from...so if we take it from a negative influence then we might take a while before we come to an understanding of ourselves to be able to choose what represents us...if it's a postive the example usaully helps...if its no influence...its just guess and check...but that being said i believe its still all guess and check...it's just a matter of are we as people too prideful to be wrong...and are our partners willing to allow us the room to "guess and check"...btw...im not talking about abuse...that's off the list of things to "guess and check"

i guess the parents play a factor to a certain extent but to me the examples of the mistakes Rihanna,Halle,CBrown made are not really relevant they are entertainment stars their lives are supposed to entertain people so that they get $.So who they date is something that has to be decided on by publicists etc so their arguments are not valid.

A person should just have standards and pray that they are also the standard of the person they want to be with..Its simple I guess
