you know, i showed a friend of mine a tami chynn video and she's asking me if that's the Jamaican Britney. I was so mad. I wish some of these Jamaican artists would stop trying to make their videos & some songs so 'American'. I personally think that the more of your culture you incoporate naturally in your music, the more unique the artist is.

In this video she looks like a fake Pink.

None wrong with it all we saying is whatever you do throw some of your heritage...to make it more different and harder to copy. That's what made Rihanna so popular. Her carribean heritage in her tracks she wasn't really dancehall nor reggae either

yea i agree wid mzk....yea she always got dat soft thing going, but she never lose her roots in any of them, like tessanne have her rock thing going, she still put in the reggae.

tami can do soooooomuch better than this video, she look like everyone else out there....and we all know she got da uniqueness.....that wasnt showed in this video.

tammy is trying to break into a wider audience...ppl who will see her not just as the reggae dancehall kind of sound...u know those who will see her as an artist who happens to be jamaican and not as the jamaican artist and then be put in a box...i think she will have some song that will give that caribbean vibe alive but now she is just expanding her fan base...
btw the song and vid itself...not my cup of tea..lol

yea i get the whole wider audience ting...but i jus dont think this particular song or video is strong enough to win over anyone cause it did nothing for her vocally or anything....the video make it come off like she wanna be a "pop star".....ppl on myspace comparing her to gwen stefani, rihanna, pink etc.....i like dere music...but they have their own thing goin for em and she needa put her uniqueness out there....something dats hers...which she already have....but wasnt shown in dis vid.

oh yeah i agree.. the song and vid weak..period no question about that...i see this period as kinda of a transition time for her..trying to find her niche...her little corner...i havent really heard the other songs..but maybe she will have something there that will give her some direction...remember rihanna went from pon the replay to disturbia...which she now says is along the lines she want to go...so we'll see how tammy works it..
