Merida is your typical tomboy, but her mother has other plans for her. Ready to marry her, merida pulls every bunny out of her hat to prevent it. The wisps leads her to a witch to whom she asks to change her mom, without asking for the side effects, she feeds her mom the cake and she will have to fix the broken bond or her mother is lost forever. History repeats itself.
I had no expectation, despite everyone encouraging me to go watch it. I did believe it was one of those girly movies likes cinderella, so i was sceptical to bring my son to watch it but oh was in so wrong. Despite the lead character being a girl, she was interesting to watch, funny, her family was adorable. The story itself is inspired by a lot of our everyday lives and the moral of the story was clear enough for most to understand and even a good subject to address with your kids. There is a bit of supense, it definitely kept me on my toes a bit.
Bottom line, another great movie to go watch this summer.
